Birding at Trap Pond State Park: Featuring a Northern Cardinal (10/15/22)

We started out birding in the area around the Nature Center and walked along the pond across the bridge to the parking lot area. There were dozens of Canada geese on the pond as usual. Some of the other birds we also identified were great egret, red-tailed hawk, turkey vulture, blue jay, double-crested cormorant, and house sparrow. We went to the area around Bethesda Church next. We only identified four species in the short time we were there: turkey vulture, northern cardinal, blue jay, and red-breasted nuthatch.
