Birding at Trap Pond State Park: Featuring a Great Blue Heron (10/18/21)

First, I birded the area around the Nature Center and over the bridge by the road. At 2:00 PM, I went on a one-hour pontoon boat ride with the Coastal Camera Club’s Wildlife Special Interest Group. We only saw double-crested cormorants, great blue herons, Canada geese, and seven mallards on the ride. Other birds I saw on my own included eastern phoebe, yellow-rumped warbler, bald eagle (two adults and one immature), eastern bluebird, pine warbler, and turkey vulture.
