We went to Roosevelt Inlet to find the rare immature male king eider that was reported there recently. We found it swimming beyond the jetties near the orange, triangular-shaped channel marker #2. Most of our time was spent watching the eider. Other birds seen here were bald eagle (2), double-crested cormorant, great black-backed gull, bufflehead, red-throated loon, and lesser black-backed gull.
