Birding at Quillens Point: Featuring a Bald Eagle (10/14/21)

The second of the two-part trip with the Sussex Bird Club took us up the road a short distance from the James Farm Nature Preserve to Quillens Point. The weather was bright and sunny and we got good looks at Indian River Bay and the marsh. We saw three adult bald eagles sitting next to each other on an osprey platform in the marsh. Other birds we saw included merlin, osprey, herring gull, great blue heron, royal tern, white-throated sparrow, double-crested cormorant, and fish crow.
