The second part of today’s trip was at Fowler Beach. We went there to hopefully find short-eared owls. One was reported there the day before on ebird but we didn’t see any. Nor did we see any northern harriers either. We stayed in the parking lot area since the beach access was closed. There were many red-winged blackbirds nearby. Other birds seen were bald eagle (2 adults), great blue heron, a flock of snow geese overhead, and a group of American black ducks.
