We started at Fleetwood Pond. Although the water level was back to normal, there were no birds in that area. Next, we went to Dike Trail. Some of the birds we saw there were Canada goose, black-bellied plover, dunlin, northern harrier, ring-billed gull, American herring gull, mallard, sanderling, green-winged teal, greater yellowlegs, northern pintail, killdeer, and American black duck. We finished by the end of Foord’s Landing Road. We saw the eastern screech-owl sitting in its favorite tree hole where we’ve seen in the past few years. The other birds we identified in this area were tufted titmouse, bald eagle, yellow-rumped warbler, and Carolina wren.
