The area by the Visitor’s Center was quiet as we only saw turkey vulture, northern mockingbird, and white throated sparrow. Dike Trail was a little more active. Birds we identified along the trail included great blue heron, ringed bill gull, bald eagle, red-breasted merganser, northern flicker, northern harrier, green-winged teal, song sparrow, Canada goose, common grackle, and white-throated sparrow.
