Birding at Phillips Landing Park – Featuring a Prothonotary Warbler (5/11/23)

I went on a birdwalk this morning with the Sussex Bird Club. This was the first of two stops. First we stayed in the landing area, then we walked around the parking lot, and finally took the main path through the woods where we found a prothonotary warbler. Other birds we identified included chipping sparrow, great-crested flycatcher, eastern bluebird, cedar waxwing, ruby-throated hummingbird, spotted sandpiper, Canada goose, black-and-white warbler, pileated woodpecker, wood duck, eastern kingbird, osprey, yellow-throated vireo, red-eyed vireo, hairy woodpecker, summer tanager, worm-eating warbler, Acadian flycatcher, and yellow-throated warbler.
