We birded along Big Stone Beach Road in the Milford Neck Wildlife Area for our first stop in the morning. We birded both sides of the road and the highlight in the marsh on the south side was four king rails. Two were adults and two were juveniles. Other birds that we saw included northern harrier, killdeer, marsh wren, osprey, Forster’s tern, blue grosbeak, seaside sparrow, least sandpiper, semipalmated sandpiper, northern rough-winged swallow, rock pigeon, gray catbird, and fish crow.
