Birding at Marsh Creek State Park: Featuring a Song Sparrow (4/10/25)

We started out at the East Boat Launch Area parallel to the lake until we got to the end where the private property began. Swimming in the water was a common loon, double-crested cormorants, and buffleheads. Other birds seen along this path included American robin, osprey, song sparrow, red-winged blackbird, tree swallow, great blue heron, Canada goose, and northern cardinal. Next, we took the red trail from the main parking lot to the area behind the pool. Some of the birds we identified here were red-bellied woodpecker, eastern bluebird, white-breasted nuthatch, Carolina wren, tree swallow, and northern cardinal.
