Birding at Largo Central Park Nature Preserve: Featuring a Yellow-Crowned Night Heron (1/30/25)

First, we walked the boardwalk around the lake. After that, we took the trail along the creek around and across the golf course. There were three yellow-crowned night herons in their usual spot along the boardwalk between turns one and two. Nanday parakeets and monk parakeets were seen flying. A Eurasian collard-dove was perched on a wire near the picnic pavilion. Other birds seen included American anhinga, white ibis, osprey, limpkin, belted kingfisher, muscovy duck, common gallinule, little blue heron, snowy egret, mallard, blue jay, American robin, yellow-rumped warbler, palm warbler, wood stork, Canada goose, and American robin.
