We went as far as across from the ferry terminal and then drove back to the main parking lot with the Higbee WMA sign. Although there were many trails, they were unmarked and we didn’t know which ones were the best to take. Some of the birds we identified were mallard, blue grosbeak, indigo bunting, prairie warbler, great-crested flycatcher, bald eagle (imm.), osprey, eastern kingbird, brown-headed cowbird, and laughing gull.
