Birding at Edwin B. Forsythe NWR: Featuring a Great Egret (10/4/21)

This is the second day in a row we birded here. We started on Wildlife Drive with our first stop on the Leeds Eco-Trail. Birds identified along this trail included immature little blue heron, great egret, blue jay, turkey vulture and American goldfinch. . We identified 21 species along the main part of Wildlife Drive. Birds we found here included two snow geese (we heard they were injured and could not fly), Forster’s tern, short-billed dowitcher, clapper rail, snowy egret, Canada goose, double-crested cormorant, American black duck, norther harrier, great blue heron, tricolored heron, mute swan, great egret, and semipalmated sandpiper.
