We walked around the South Lake. There were a lot of birds but not many different species. Birds that we identified included white ibis, laughing gull, tricolored heron, anhinga, common gallinule, turkey vulture, double-crested cormorant, yellow-rumped warbler, blue-gray gnatcatcher, pied-billed grebe, belted kingfisher, and red-shouldered hawk. Most of the birds we saw were white ibises and laughing gulls.
