We finally had a sunny morning although it started out as a chilly 39 degrees. We went to Delaware Seashore State Park, both the Indian River South Inlet and Burton Island.
At the inlet and beach, we saw lots of birds on the water including long-tailed ducks, common eiders, common loons, and buffleheads. On the north side jetty, we spotted some sanderlings, a ruddy turnstone, and a purple sandpiper or two. Burton Island brought us a northern harrier (marsh hawk), a belted kingfisher, hooded mergansers, and brants.
