I went on a field trip with the Coastal Camera Club’s Wildlife Special Interest Group to the Delaware Botanic Gardens. The trip was mainly to see the pollinators, flowers, and whatever birds were around. The 15 species of birds I identified were red-bellied woodpecker, American crow, Downy woodpecker, blue jay, Carolina wren, northern mockingbird, northern cardinal, American goldfinch, Carolina chickadee, blue grosbeak (female), house sparrow, and tufted titmouse. I walked down the trail through the woods to Pepper Creek and saw a snowy egret and belted kingfisher.
