We birded along both trails. The first trail (South Trail) was the main, paved trail. Some of the birds we identified along this trail included Cooper’s hawk, northern cardinal, American robin, pine warbler, belted kingfisher, brown-headed nuthatch, white-eyed vireo, great blue heron, red-winged blackbird, gray catbird, and Canada goose. We identified fewer birds along the North Trail (natural surface). These birds were mourning dove, blue jay, tricolored heron, northern flicker, gray catbird, northern cardinal, and Canada goose.
