Birding at Cape Henlopen State Park: Featuring a Ring-Billed Gull (2/24/21)

We first birded in the area around the Nature Center where a common redpoll was spotted the past few days, but we didn’t see it. Among the birds we identified were northern cardinal, brown-headed nuthatch, red-winged blackbird, and an adult bald eagle. Next, we went to The Point and walked the two-mile loop around it. Some of the birds we saw were common loon, surf scoter, brown pelican, sanderling, lesser black-backed gull, ring-billed gull, double-crested cormorant, and herring gull.
