We walked the two-mile loop around The Point this afternoon, two days before the entire loop closes for the season. The tide was low and we saw the following birds: herring gull, ring-billed gull, turkey vulture, double-crested cormorant, surf scoter, bald eagle, sanderlings (flocks), great black-backed gull, northern gannets (dozens flying northward seen from the beach), and a few red-throated loons.
