This was our second day (see our first day’s activity here) in a row birding at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in Cambridge, MD. We joined up with fellow members of the Wildlife Special Interest Group of the Coastal Camera Club. They have outings like this one roughly once a month. This is a great place for birding and photography. There is a lot of water and open spaces to see waterfowl and bald eagles.
The birds are best seen by driving around the Wildlife Drive loop. Ten white pelicans were seen in the water on the south side of the loop but were too far away for a good photo.
