We birded along the south end of Gordon’s Pond Trail from the parking lot to the observation deck. Some of the birds we identified were red-winged blackbird, snowy egret, great egret, green heron, black-necked stilt, short-billed dowitcher, indigo bunting, semipalmated plover, laughing gull, common yellowthroat, greater yellowlegs, northern house wren, Carolina chickadee, Carolina wren, and purple martin.
