We walked from the main parking lot to the lake and then went westward towards the dam before heading back. On the lake, we saw mallard, great egret, great blue heron, and pied-billed grebe. Other birds we identified in the park included great-tailed grackle, barn swallow, Bewick’s wren, black vulture, chipping sparrow, northern cardinal, and Carolina wren.
