We went to Fowler Beach to hopefully see a short-eared owl or two late in the afternoon but they were no-shows. Some birds we identified along the beach were sanderling, dunlin, bald eagle, ring-billed gull, surf scoter, bufflehead, common loon, red-winged blackbird (flock), snow bunting (flock), double-crested cormorant, and great black-backed gull. Closer to the parking lot area, some of the birds we identified included great blue heron, belted kingfisher, yellow-rumped warbler, tundra swan, and mallard.
