We walked along the trails in the southwest part of the area. Despite the overcast, we were able to identify 23 species in about one and one-half hours. Species we saw included Baltimore oriole, willet, killdeer, barn swallow, bobolink (in the field near the parking lot), osprey, song sparrow, purple martin, yellow warbler, saltmarsh sparrow, ruby-throated hummingbird, Canada goose, red-winged blackbird, and snowy egret.
